Achievements
- Embedding maps into the East Northamptonshire Council web site. This involved manually integrating Localview
into the ASP.Net web pages to display local services to the users using online mapping software.
- Developed a .Net C# console application to automate the process of extracting timesheet information held in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
The resultant information is written out to XML files each day. No user intervention is necessary. The application automated
what was previously a time consuming manual process.
- Implemented and configured Sharepoint blogs for the Chief Executive of East Northamptonshire Council and its staff user group. Configured the Sharepoint and
Internet Information Services server permissions and settings to enable the required members of staff to administer, view and contribute to the blog.
- Strengthened the Pegasus Opera II proposition by delivering high quality releases of the Developers' Integration Tool
to market, re-energising the Third Party Development Channel in the process.
- Worked as part of a Software Configuration Management team to ensure that all versioning and labelling of source code
and software builds were delivered in a timely and efficient manner, simplifying the process of installing products across the
business.
- Substantially simplified the sales order processing of an e-commerce web site by integrating it with their back end
accounting system, leading to quicker processing of online sales; implemented using XML and SQL Server.
